PageRank is a numeric value that is awarded to a webpage by Google.

PageRank is one of the methods Google uses to determine a page's relevance and importance by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. 

PageRank matters because it is one of the factors that determines a page's ranking in the search results. It isn't the only factor though… but an important one!

Google calculates a page's importance from the votes cast for it: When one page links to another page, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more votes that are cast for a page, the more important the page must be.

Its’ done and it is indeed a very important step towards driving traffic to your website. Major Websites prioritize creating a profile in the following websites as gives maximum exposure to your site:
