Well, coming back to our sessions….

In the last session we saw what the whole SEO chart looks like and listed down the steps that show the complete SEO work flow. Planning-wise forth coming sessions would be discussing each single element of the SEO concept in detail. We already know how SEO help us and our websites in attaining the desired goals, so now let’s check what each component of this flow chart does!

To begin with, we have seen that SEO is basically of 2 types – On-Page SEO & Off-Page SEO.
So, let’s try to answer questions like…

What are the differences between them?
Coming to the first question, I will first show the tasks that each does.
On-Page SEO involves:

  6. RSS Feeds
The first step of SEO, ‘Website Evaluation’ seeks to find out the current status of a website – It actually looks into every minute detail and as you may think, involves a whole lot of research & analysis work.

List of particulars that Website Evaluation explores:
  • Google Page Rank
  • Alexa Traffic Rank & Traffic Rank in other countries
  • Blog availability & ranking
  • Total number of Inbound Links
  • Number of Bookmarks in various bookmarking webites.
  • Availability of website (company) profile in high-ranked social networking websites.
  • Website submission in different directories.
  • Rss Feed
  • Back Links from Yahoo, Google & Msn
  • Site Map
  • HTML Tags & their efficiencies
  • Number of Images the website holds and their particulars
  • Domain Registration details
  • Google Crawl Date
  • Keyword competence 
  • Number of Index Pages in Yahoo, Google & Msn
  • Back links count to your website from Yahoo, Google & Msn
  • Websites that get traffic to your website
  • Keywords responsible for your presence in search engines
  • Site Demographics & more…
We shall look into the detailed step-by-step evaluation process in the forth-coming sessions.
